Blink Lesson's schedule is designed make it easy to set lessons with students in different timezones.
When you login to Blink Lesson and your schedule loads, it will be displayed in the timezone you are currently located in. Above the schedule and to the left is a drop down menu where you can change the timezone you are viewing the schedule in. Lessons are displayed in the timezone you are viewing your schedule in.
Timezones and Creating an lesson
When you create a new lesson, you will see a note stating which timezone you are setting the time of the lesson in. This will be the timezone you are currently viewing your schedule in. Thus, if you are viewing your schedule in "America/Chicago" (Central) and click to add an lesson for 4pm, the lesson will be set for 4pm central time. But, if your student is in Pacific Time U.S., the lesson will be shown as 2pm on their reminder emails. It will display times on their dashboard according to the timezone they are currently located in.
Timezones and Editing an lesson
When you click to edit an lesson, the times you select (or leave the same) will be saved according to the timezone you are currently viewing your schedule in. Thus, say you live in Central timezone but traveled to Pacific; your schedule initially would load in Pacific time. If you then clicked to edit an lesson, the times would be set according to Pacific time. This is important to keep in mind if you are editing your schedule while viewing your schedule in a different timezone.
Timezones and My Availability
The system will automatically convert your availability slots to the timezone you are viewing your schedule in. For students, it will display your available slots according to the timezone they are currently located in. Thus, if they travel outside their home timezone and login to Blink Lesson, your available slots will be displayed to them in timezone they traveled too. This is clearly shown to them when they pick a slot.
